The series Chroma is a journey through military service. Artist Corban Lundborg aims to examine the uniform and the relationship with its wearer.

Each painting begins outside with spray paint and water. The first layers begin from unplanned expressionism.

Corban creates a color pallet inspired by the subject.

Once the abstract background dries the artist paints his preselected subject based off historic military photography.

Each piece is created using dozens of layers of acrylic paint and hand-painted shadows to create depth.

The final paintings mask the faces of service members as a representation of selflessness and sacrifice. Pieces of love letters, military orders, and chunks of color representing individualism explode through the final painting.
